the oil man’s pony, Why do you try again? Are two terms not enough? Do you seek to make amends? We know Frank is in the shallow thirties, We know you’re pained by gas, We know Republican politics have been dirty, but can’t you give this one a pass? Your hero is Buckley (William F.) Your family is steeped in crude You’ve given Big Oil so many breaks! (Do we really want this dude?) Phony Tony, Don Quixote, please take Sancho Berkowitz and go. You can’t stop industry windmills (as if more drilling could make them slow). Those other candidates— Croft, Burke, the green, give them a chance. We’re tired of your running, we’re tired of your dance. Unfortunately, the news will focus on you and Frank be chivalrous and walk away (your views on Iraq really stank!) Phony Tony, bike trails and wolves aside, your record is unimpressive, do you still think you can regain your stride? Soren Wuerth is perhaps Alaska's best known community activist, and is the winner of the Alaska Press Club's 2006 'Best Columnist' award.
