Why Is Maimon Leaving UAA?

Is UA doing the 'Brain Drain' game?  Are Hamilton and the Regents 'letting go' of University Advancement also?

As an Alaskan Native and Anchorage citizen, one of the main reasons I chose to take classes at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, is because of the enthusiasm of Chancellor Elaine Maimon's commitment to building community and providing opportunity to explore all levels of education here in Anchorage.  She is an inspiration to many in the Anchorage community and particularly to the faculty and employees working at the University.

A couple of serious questions need to be asked at this time. Why did the University of Alaska let Maimon go? And who else will follow?
