Editor’s Desk
by Aaron Selbig, insurgent49

Allan Tesche     This is going to be a rather short ‘Editor’s Desk’, as I have a simple, but  important request for whomever reads this column: Please put our friend Allan Tesche in your thoughts and prayers.

Last Friday, we got the word that Allan had been rushed to the hospital for emergency heart surgery. He had suffered a ruptured aorta and, twelve hours later, was in critical but stable condition, recovering from the twelve-hour procedure.

At this writing, he remains sedated in his hospital room, with his wife Pam and the rest of his family by his side. Yesterday, doctors were encouraged that his blood cells seemed to be showing improvement.

For the last six months or so, Allan Tesche, Anchorage Assemblyman from the downtown district, and I have produced ‘The Tesche Report’ together on KUDO 1080am radio. Every week, Allan joins us in the studio and gives us the unfiltered straight skinny on what’s going down at the Assembly. I look forward to it every week.

Allan Tesche is one of the most forthright, sincere politicians anyone could ever meet. And he is a good man and a good friend. We know he will recover. He will be back in the radio studio for ‘The Tesche Report’ and he will be back in the Assembly chambers, fighting for constituents.

     Soon.

In the meantime, we think about him and pray for his recovery every day.

We ask that you do the same. Thank you.
